Tokyo-based Langley Esquire is a public affairs consulting firm specializing in government relations, strategic communications, and public policy. We overcome challenges at the nexus of government, industry, and society.

With over 30 years of experience in public affairs, our team of dedicated bilingual professionals advises international companies and organizations on how to succeed in Japan’s unique regulatory environment.

• Must currently reside in Japan. Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate(s).
• Native level Japanese reading and writing skills
• Self-starter who can make decisions and take action without being told
• Strong organizational skills
• Fluency in English is preferred
• Ability to translate Japanese to English and English to Japanese
• Interest in public policy, politics and international business a plus
• Strong research and critical thinking skills a plus
• Graphic design skills a plus (creating infographics, charts, etc.)
• Accounting skills a plus
• Marketing skills a plus

• Office management (management of office environment, supplies, scheduling, etc.)
• Meeting setup, event registration, etc.
• Help ensure client satisfaction
• Translation support
• Marketing and sales activities, social networking management
• Participate in marketing and sales activities, including social media management
• General administrative support

• Bachelor’s degree or higher a plus
• Past working experience in an office environment a plus
