Our data and its architecture is the foundation of our business and the Head of Data Strategy and Solutions will lead the design and growth of our data platform. Reporting into the Director of Strategy and Solutions, the Head of Data Strategy and Solutions will lead Catalina’s data strategy and design architecture to establish secured and advanced data platform for innovative solutions.
・Highly skilled executive with minimum of 7 years of experience in the marketing industry, preferably CPG
・Enough experience around data management platform and commercialization for it
・Strategic thinker with experience in seeding and growing new businesses and solutions
・Enjoys tackling problems in fluid situations.
・Capable to leading and driving projects across a matrixed organization through impact and influenct.
・Language skill：Japanese(fluent), English (advanced)
・Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or equivalent required.
・ MS/BA//BS with coursework in quantitative methods.
・Hands-on coding experience using SAS, SQL, Python, Scala to extract data directly from back-end database such as Netezza, Red Brick, Oracle, Hadoop etc.
・Ability to demonstrate a command of quantitative methods and statistical applications.
・Ability to rapidly develop enough familiarity with proprietary data systems and IT infrastructure to extract data needed to support quantitative research projects.
・Client facing experience preferred
・Set strategy and direction for Catalina’s data architecture to ensure a rapid and sustainable growth of Catalina’s business.
・Be acutely in tune with market movements and 3rd party incubations to maximize Catalina’s leverage with potential partnerships to add value to our data.
・Strategize and build a clean data platform and architecture with the Tech team to ensure integrity and availability of the platform and in compliance with data security measures.
・Have a deep understanding of Catalina’s business and be an expert on the data and its platform to support the requirements of the business, including the growing digital and online marketing business.
・Lead initiatives to create robust by easy to use dashboards to visualize and unlock the insights from the data Catalina has access to.
・Decide appropriate data platform for each product, own responsibility for a data process especially at the beginning stage of new products and lead the discussion for the future data management platform for Catalina.
・Exchange best practices with US/EU offices for ideas for new solutions.
