IPG Mediabrands Japan is Japan’s leading marketing services company, providing clients expertise in the full spectrum of communication needs. We are currently looking for a Manager - Analytics to join the Marketing Sciences team who will be responsible for servicing industry leading and premium brands across a number of industries. Analytics Manager plays key role in driving technology, innovation and insights within the digital landscape and the offline world. The successful candidate will be someone who works well in a fast paced dynamic environment and understands the sense of urgency and attention to detail inherent in delivering successful analytics projects such as MMM, media effectiveness studies, analysis and insights strategy.

Key Qualifications

Candidates need to be able to work and thrive in an evolving, growth-oriented business focused on winning and adding measurable, material value to our clients business. Ideal candidates will have a combination of strong skills and experiences in econometric modelling, with an emphasis on media analytics. Successful candidates should possess exemplary focus on quality management, attention to detail, strong work ethic and a commitment to project and data excellence. Candidate with strong analytics skills in building econometrics models, performance and strong interest in media are preferred.

• Good working knowledge on statistics
• Strong analytical skills with solid foundation and experience in statistical techniques.
• Good hands on skill of reporting automation using various client preferred solutions.
• Proficient in at least one of the following platforms: SAS, R, Python
• Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders with different backgrounds
• Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Familiarity with data management platforms or optimization techniques is a plus
• Knowledge of visualization tool, such as Tableau, Qlikview, GDS is a plus
• Native-level Japanese proficiency
• Business-level English preferred

Responsibility

• work closely with media team, to ensure the analysis sits at the center of the media planning process
• present findings and recommendations to media planners, buyers, clients and other partner agencies
• dealing with large amounts of granular information, consolidating and manipulating multiple sources of data across multiple dimensions
• building statistical models from ranges of data to solve complex marketing initiatives such as forecasting model, marketing mix modeling, etc.
• leveraging Mediabrands’ optimization platforms to generate media plans based on analytical models
• translating analytical output into actionable items and presenting it to people with varied technical backgrounds
• working with local media teams to ensure analytical results become better marketing solutions and collaborating with the global team to ensure a smooth workflow and adherence to best-practice
• ensuring that solutions, systems, and procedures are properly documented
• always looking for better ways of doing things – better techniques, better solutions, better approaches
• Strong analytic skills with ability to interpret analytic results and convert them into insightful client value
• Creative problem solver who enjoys thinking "outside the box" to solve complex problems
• Excellent work ethic and desire to 'do what it takes' to learn, grow and provide value to our clients *Highly focused on quality and "doing it right the first time."
• Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative projects in a team environment

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or any related field
