Mazars Audit LLC is seeking highly motivated professionals in the field of accounting and auditing. As we are still relatively small in Japan with only 20 people in Audit, the successful candidate would have the unique opportunity to work on a variety of jobs/projects, including audit/assurance, as well as advisory work (e.g. financial due diligence). If you are an individual who is comfortable in a multicultural environment and can speak English or looking to improve, this is the place for you.

Key Qualifications

・Microsoft 中級レベル(Excel、Word、PPTを問題なく使用できる)

Skills & Qualifications
• Certified Public Accountant (any country)
• 3+ years of audit experience with a public accounting firm
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint)
• Fluent Japanese, business level English preferred

Core competencies we are looking for:
• Leadership - Able to act as a leader in the field, be the person the junior staff can rely on for questions, solving issues, etc.
• Team spirit– Able to work effectively in a team and willing to help others in order to achieve a common goal
• Solid knowledge of technical accounting and auditing standards – can confidently teach others (mainly junior staff on audit methodologies and technical accounting topics)
• Client relationship – Able to communicate effectively with clients in a professional manner and anticipate the requests/needs of clients. Adapts and reacts calmly in difficult situations.
• Time/workload management - able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Fieldwork leader for multiple audit/assurance engagements, leading a team of up to 3-4 individuals
• Responsible for effective planning, execution and completion of quarterly/half-year reviews and annual audits in compliance with international/Japanese auditing standards for financial statements prepared in accordance with various GAAP (e.g. JGAAP, USGAAP, and IFRS)
• Coaching and supervising junior team members, providing on-the-job training, allocating work, and reviewing their output (work papers, memos, etc.)
• Prepare reports and memos in English for delivery / reporting to group auditors, clients, etc.
• Manage the schedule / timeline and communication with clients, as well as group auditors, to ensure deadlines and expectations of all parties are met
• Communicating and reporting to Manager and/or Partner on the status of projects, accounting or auditing issues encountered in the field, etc.
• Occasionally may be requested to participate in non-audit assignments, such as consulting and/or advisory work (e.g. financial due diligence, internal audit, etc.).



Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related field from a 4-year accredited university



・Probational Period: 3 months
・Some overtime may be required
・Some domestic and international travel may be required for business and to attend training
