Rougié is the leading brand in foie gras and gastronomy products exported towards Japan and Asia countries. Partnering with chefs around the world makes it a privileged brand in high-end hotels and restaurants, as well as duty-free boutiques.
We are expanding and hiring a marketing and communication assistant to strengthen our Rougié Japan team, working towards Asian and Middle East markets.

This opportunity will be based in Tokyo. The mission, under the supervision of the executive chef and the Asia general director, is to represent the brand in the Japanese and Asian markets. The Rougié chef will lead culinary initiatives, including client engagement, culinary demonstrations, and technical support. Additionally, the role involves collaborating on marketing content, providing product expertise, conducting training sessions, and ensuring the quality control of Rougié products imported to Japan. This dynamic position combines creativity, technical expertise, and business acumen to contribute to the brand's continued success in the gastronomy industry.

Key Qualifications

- Culinary/Hospitality Background:
Possess a culinary or hospitality education with a successful track record in the gourmet restaurant industry.

- Gastronomic Affinity:
Demonstrate a particular affinity for foie gras and duck products.

- Communication and Pedagogy:
Exhibit excellent communication skills, both in transmitting a passion for cooking and conveying the qualitative and innovative nature of Rougié products.

- Adaptability:
Showcase a strong capacity for assimilation and adaptation, facilitating harmonious collaboration with Japanese and Asian sales teams, as well as interaction with chefs, clients, and prospects in Japan and Asia.

- Organization and Autonomy:
Display organizational skills and autonomy, with the ability to plan travel, initially within Japan and later across Asia.

- Commercial Acumen:
Possess a good sense of business and business development.

- Language Proficiency:
Proficient in Japanese and English.


Facilitate professional meetings with our partners, importers, and wholesalers, guiding the selection of highlighted products, preparing events, conducting culinary demonstrations, and providing technical support to clients.

Engage in key client visits, offering tailored product solutions within the Rougié range. Ensure follow-up on these visits and provide regular reporting to involved sales teams.

Lead culinary presentations at professional trade shows, showcasing the excellence of Rougié products.

Provide technical guidance to existing and potential clients, taking responsibility for the technical consultancy aspect.

Conduct technical training sessions on foie gras and other products for interested clients, either in their establishments or at partner culinary schools affiliated with the Rougié Foie Gras School.

Develop recipes and working methods tailored to the Japanese and Asian markets. Actively contribute to the creation of culinary marketing content in collaboration with the marketing team based in Japan. Oversee the quality control of Rougié products imported to Japan.

Working Hours

Flexible working hours: From 9am to 6pm with possible adjustements.
