Our Asia Pacific region has created the Regional Centre of Excellence (RCoE) team in alignment with MH’s global strategic direction. This RCoE role will be responsible for driving operational excellence within the Finance function and adding values to processes and services through automation, simplification and innovation. The role will also collaborate closely with the businesses and Finance community both internal (shareholders, BPC, various departments, etc.) and external (banks, auditors, tax authorities, etc.) to enable a diverse and inclusive workplace which offers our talents the great place to work.
Qualifications
• Experience: More than 5-7 years’ experience in accounting in US or European multinational companies
• Strong background in accounting and tax
• Experience in tax firms would be a plus
• Highly motivated with strong sense of responsibility and initiative as well as effective management of various stakeholders in and out of the organization within the industry.
Technical & Management Skills
• Language Skills: Native/Fluent level of Japanese and Business level of English
• Good knowledge of financial accounting (IFRS) required
• Strong excel skills required
• Japanese Boki level 1 or CPA would be a plus
• Tax accountant qualification would be a plus
• Strong communicator with all levels of staffs within a company
• Experience in SAP ECC would be a plus
• Experience in automation such as excel macros, Power BI or programming language would be a plus

【Main Responsibilities】
1. Tax (30%)
• Prepare corporate income tax return with support from tax firm (August & Year-end ~ March)
• Prepare consumption tax return with support from tax firm (Year-end ~ March)
• Prepare fixed asset tax return (January)
• Manage tax audit
• Manage transfer price documentation preparation (July ~ September)
• Other tax matters
2. General Ledger (35%)
• Responsibilities include but not limited to preparation and posting of journal entries, balance sheet preparation/ reconciliation, variance analysis, period close activities/reporting and statutory reporting
• Ensure regular review and smooth and timely closing of accounts monthly, including identifying any unusual transactions and movements of account balances.
• Prepare and review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets

3. Financial Audit (30%)
• Manage financial audit (September ~ March)
• Manage audit report preparation (January ~ March)
4. Others (5%)
• Ad hoc requirements according to the instructions by the RCoE
• Support with in-market change management communication and stakeholder engagement
