Mission Statement
We are seeking for a passionate candidate to lead and further develop the Women’s business, which is approximately 3/4 of our total Japan sales. His/her priority of the role is to build a strategic approach for both Women’s LG & RTW & SHOES and implement them in buying and local actions to achieve the sales budget. Moreover, the focus on RTW has become more and more important for our brand and he/she will need to think of creative/innovative ideas to further grow this category, while maintaining a stable and healthy growth for LG. Therefore, expertise in both LG & RTW businesses is ideal. The candidate will be in charge of overseeing all Women’s categories, WLG & WACC & WRTW & WSHOES, and managing the team of 3 buyers of each category. It will also be an important task to develop and contribute to the team’s growth.
-5~10 years relevant experience, preferably in retail industry
-Degree holder in relevant discipline
-Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Confidence in presenting ideas and concepts to others
- Language proficiency: English - Business level /Japanese – Native level
Brand Development
Identify growth opportunities from not just product standpoint, but also from 360 approach, collaborating with other functions
Investigate and input HQ local market needs and trends in order to reflect them on product development
Together with Retail Director and Retail team, contribute to retail development
Strategic buying
Build seasonal buying strategies in taking consideration of display and exposure, and managing local retail & marketing activities
Work on the clustering (build an assortment based on tailor made store needs & demands)
Selection of Japanese assortment in close cooperation with Madrid/Paris merchandising team
Boost sales
Achieve sales & sell through target for all seasons
Identify sales opportunities from product, retail, VM or marketing perspective and implement action plans
Execute meaningful and impactful collection training for stores and other functions
Maintain proper inventory of each store by efficient allocation, replenishment, and remerchandising
Build a strong Women’s team coordinating with Women’s store staffs
Maintain creative and pragmatic Visual Merchandising collaborating with VM team
Team Development
Manage & supervise the team by being a role model
Support the development of the team by constantly giving them feedback
