As Project Manager, Project Management (Construction Industry), you shall work to effectively promote Currie & Brown s capabilities and expand market share through successful delivery of projects to satisfy global client relationships and local Japan marketing efforts. Roles and responsibilities to include:

a) Overall management of a specific project, or a combination of projects, dependent of situational needs.

b) Leadership in liaison wit h Client and overall coordination of project reporting and deliverables such as design, scheduling, budgeting , other related project documentation and construction management as typically expected of a Project Manager. The candidate will be responsible to manage projects under their control to ensure completion within time, cost and quality parameters as deemed acceptable to the Client and Department Head of Project
Management.

c) Leadership in the coordination with Consultants, Contractor/ s and Vendors.

d) Strong capabilities in client management and consultation.

e) In accordance with Currie & Brown’s document guidelines and project requirements, development of Microsoft Project scheduling; schedule tracking and update; generation of, and presentation of, Weekly/ Monthly reports; generation of project progress review project tracking documents and meeting minutes; maintenance of tracking logs for major construction documentation such as Submittals, Construction drawings, Non conformance notices, Request for Information, Site Instructions, change management, etc.; Coordination of Punch list preparation/ tracking; and delivery of project close out documentation, including materials such as O&M Manuals and As Built Drawings.

f) Risk control forecasting and management.

g) Ongoing assistance to Senior Management to encourage best practice as well as seeking business development opportunities in the local/ regional marketplace.

h) The possession of a desire to become a part of the project management division within a long established leading Consulting company.

i) Participation in professional advancement and learning activities as required by the Company.

j) Understanding of national/local codes and laws related to construction, health & safety, contracts, current construction methods and trends, as well as MEP systems.

Key Qualifications

Should have good written and oral communication skills in English and Japanese, decision making and problem solving skills, administrative and management skills; leadership and interpersonal skills, advanced computer knowledge, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

4 year University/ College degree required. Degree in architecture, engineering or management is desired but not required if project manager experience is over 5 years.

Other

- 3 month probation required. Possibility to work in other locations in Japan (Hokkaido, Okinawa, etc.).
- Must be bilingual (English - Business Level, Japanese - Business Level).
