About this role
Join our Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital Engineering (DE) unit as an ADAS Verification & Validation Engineer, playing a pivotal role in testing autonomous driving vehicle algorithms. You will design and execute MIL/SIL test cases for concrete ADAS functions such as ACC, AEB, LKA, sensor fusion, and decision algorithms — validating behavior across normal, boundary, and failure scenarios using advanced simulation and automation environments. Your validation results will directly influence release readiness, functional safety, and customer acceptance, placing you at the center of ADAS product quality.
[Required Qualifications]
・Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or a related field
・8+ years of hands-on experience in automotive ECU application software verification and validation
・Experience verifying and validating embedded software or algorithms using C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, or both
・Experience designing and executing test cases for model-based or code-based software components
・Knowledge of structured development methodologies such as V-Model or Agile
・Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional engineering teams
・Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English. English is used for communication with the offshore team, and Japanese for communication with customers.
・Execute daily verification and validation activities for ADAS algorithms, including simulation execution and result analysis for C/C++ and Simulink-based components
・Develop test specifications, test cases, and test reports based on system and software requirements
・Participate in requirement review sessions and defect triage meetings with development and system engineering teams
・Perform MIL, SIL, and HIL testing, including automated test scenario execution and failure analysis
・Analyze simulation results, log files, and vehicle or test bench data to identify root causes and support software developers
・Perform test coverage analysis, regression testing, and release readiness assessments
・Create test scenarios, execute validation activities, evaluate test results, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and recommend corrective actions
