Established in 1969, Fukui Megane Industry embodies the excellence and quality of the Japanese eyewear tradition renowned throughout the world for its high craftsmanship, design and fine materials. The company in the town of Sabae, Fukui district, can count on over a hundred of masters in design and engraving of precious metals such as titanium.
Luxottica Group's global footprint in over 150 countries allows Fukui Megane Industry technical mastery and traditional craftmanship to make an impact locally but also to enhance the “made in Japan” excellence by showing its products all the around the world.
EssilorLuxottica produced in Fukui the first collection of Ray-Ban Titanium in 2018, introducing a new dimension to the iconic status of the Aviator, Caravan and Round models.

Founded in 1990, the company has been growing over the years through mergers and acquisitions such as Oakley Japan and Alain Mikli Japon. With around 500 employees in Japan subsidiary, the company operates its wholesale, retail and e-commerce channels for their Japanese customers. We have a large network of over 40 retail stores from Sapporo to Okinawa across our brands Oakley, Ray-Ban and Alain Mikli.
We have offices in several locations in Japan including the main Tokyo office, our warehouse in Kawasaki prefecture.
In Fukui Megane Industry the new production site in Fukui prefecture we are manufacturing made in Japan products to deliver the highest quality to our customers around the globe.
