About this role
Join our Industrial Autonomy & Engineering (IA&E) unit as a Compute Platform / ECU Software Architect, designing scalable and robust software architectures for ADAS ECUs. Working within a multi-program engagement for a leading global Tier-1 supplier, you will define AUTOSAR-based architectures, optimize SoC/MPU resource allocation, and integrate safety and cybersecurity mechanisms — playing a key role in delivering production-ready compute platforms for next-generation mobility.

Key Qualifications

Required Qualifications
・7+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development with hands-on ECU architecture design, preferably for ADAS or domain controllers
・Strong expertise in Classic and/or Adaptive AUTOSAR, including MCAL, ECU Abstraction Layer, Services, RTE, Operating System, and Communication Stack
・Experience configuring and integrating AUTOSAR-based software platforms
・Experience optimizing SoC/MPU resources, including CPU, memory, bandwidth, and latency
・Experience integrating software components, middleware, and device drivers
・Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English

Preferred Qualifications
・Experience implementing functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434) into software architecture
・Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test environments
・Experience collaborating with hardware and Basic Software (BSW) teams on HW/SW integration
・Experience performing feasibility studies, technical risk assessments, and architecture trade-off analysis
・Strong knowledge of ASPICE development processes

Language
Japanese/English bilingual, advanced business level required. English is used for communication with the offshore team, and Japanese for communication with customers.

・Design scalable, robust software architectures for ADAS ECU platforms
・Optimize SoC/MPU resource allocation and manage software component integration
・Define and optimize Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR architectures and services
・Integrate functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434) mechanisms into ECU software architecture
・Translate customer requirements into software specifications and module designs
・Ensure ASPICE compliance and support CI/CD-based build and automated test environments
・Collaborate with hardware and system engineering teams to define interfaces and resolve technical dependencies
・Conduct feasibility studies and technical risk assessments to maintain high software quality standards

About the Project
This is a multi-program engagement with a leading global Tier-1 supplier for end-to-end AD/ADAS system development. The team collaborates across project management, system architecture, software development, AI integration, system integration, validation, safety, and security to deliver scalable, high-quality, production-ready ADAS solutions.

Career Growth
This role offers the opportunity to grow as a high-value software expert in safety-critical AI mobility systems, with exposure to the full development lifecycle from concept to Start of Production (SOP). Potential growth paths include Lead Architect (L2+ autonomous programs) or Technical Project Manager, depending on performance, skills, and business needs.

Compensation, Bonus and Other Benefits

Annual Salary
Salary is determined based on individual experience and ability, in accordance with company policy (the original listing does not specify a fixed monthly base amount; compensation is negotiated individually).

Discretionary Labor Allowance (if applicable):
¥60,000–¥80,000/month (≈ ¥720,000–¥960,000/year), paid under the specialized-work discretionary labor system.
