Key Qualifications

Minimum qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of automotive / electronics engineering and vehicle electronics.
- Experience in system and specification design, control design, and installation design for in-vehicle ECUs such as airbags, keyless operation systems, power windows, power sliding doors, electric tailgates, tire pressure warning systems, power seats, body controllers, and gateways.
- Exposure to functional evaluation of in-vehicle ECUs, reprogramming, and ECU configuration settings.
- Experience with ECU and electronic component testing, reliability testing, functional testing, and test design preparation.

- Japanese: Business level

- Understanding of in-vehicle networks, in-vehicle communications, CAN, and diagnostics protocols.
- Understanding of administrative processes, management, and document creation related to examinations and indirect tasks.

Responsibility

Position Overview
The EE System Department is looking for a candidate to take responsibility for the design, development, and validation of electronic components, including ECU specification design, in-vehicle communication, and diagnostics. This position requires working closely with various teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless development and validation of electrical systems within the vehicle. The ideal candidate will have experience in system architecture, in-vehicle networks, and ECU testing, and will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

About the Department
The EE System Department is one of the major groups responsible for the design, development, and validation of various EE components. This department primarily focuses on:
a. EE architecture design and development activities
b. In-vehicle communication design and management, including CAN and diagnostics
c. Design, development, and validation activities for Gateway, Body Control, and Climate Control ECUs

About the Project
a. EE Architecture Activities:
- Support in RFI/RFQ preparation and supplier coordination
- Support the OEM design team in rapid prototyping, specification creation, simulation, and design data development for new system architecture
b. In-vehicle Communication Design, Management, and Diagnostics:
- CAN, CAN-FD data preparation
- Define in-vehicle communication for all ECUs and components
- Coordination with customers and Tier-1 suppliers
- ECU diagnostics and defect analysis
- ECU reprogramming and configuration settings
c. EE Component Validation
d. Inter-department and supplier coordination for component design, development, and schedule tracking

- Take ownership of ECU specification design, perform ECU design tasks, configuration checks, development support, supplier and inter-department coordination, validation, and reprogramming.
- Support customer interactions and provide assistance as requested.
- Use analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
- Identify gaps in the ecosystem, generate new ideas, and turn them into business proposals.
- Manage offshore and onsite teams or work within the customer ecosystem for EE component development and program management.

Salary
Annual salary: *will be decided in consideration of candidates’ experiences and abilities.
Discretionary labor allowance: 60,000 JPY - 80,000 JPY
Overtime work allowance: By ordinary (Paid according to overtime working hours)

(Actual working hrs: 8hrs /Flex time system/ Core time: 10:00 - 16:00)
