Qualification Requirements:
We are seeking instructors for our international team who
- are native (or native fluent) English speakers
- are dynamic, mature and professional
- are culturally sensitive and have excellent organizational and communication skills
- have experience teaching at a university (preferably in Japan)
- have a minimum of a BA or BS degree
- are already in Japan and available for in-person interviews in Kyoto
Instructor Qualification Program (IQP) Requirements:
Applicants must complete IQP before commencing work with Berlitz Japan. Full details will be given in the first interview.
We are seeking instructors to teach English lessons at universities based in and around the Kyoto Area.
A minimum of a BA or BS degree is required.
Berlitz Japan traces its roots back to 1966, when the first Berlitz language center opened in Akasaka, Tokyo, during Japan’s period of rapid internationalization. The Japanese operation was formally established as a local corporation in 1980, building on the global Berlitz brand founded in the United States in 1878 and known worldwide for the immersive Berlitz Method® of language instruction.

Remuneration:
Work time is paid for at a rate of ¥4,000 per hour.
Payments are made on the 28th of each month based on a salary cycle that runs from the 18th of one month to the 17th of the next.
Travel costs
Travel is fully reimbursed for your commute between your home and place of work.
