This role is a consulting position that demands collaborative work with both clients and colleagues within cross-functional product teams. Essential attributes include strong communication skills, technical proficiency, empathy, humility, and a thorough grasp of lean startup and agile values, principles, and methodologies.
Projects require decision-making that involves not only members of the client team, but sometimes even senior management, as appropriate. We are looking for someone who is willing to move forward with a project despite many uncertainties and who is willing to work together to develop a valuable product.
Operating within an early-stage team, this role is designed to be dynamic, seeking individuals capable of growing alongside the evolving demands of the team. Given its status as a new business line, you'll contribute to shaping the entire consulting framework at Code Chrysalis.
- 5+ years experience in software development, service operation, or consulting.
- Proficient in defining KPIs and measurable success criteria, and continuously reviewing and evaluating them.
- Ability to quickly understand clients' industry specialization and identify trends and opportunities.
- Experience in business planning, including setting vision, formulating strategy, and designing product roadmaps.
- Passion for skill enhancement, problem-solving, and engaging work.
- Proficiency in training, mentoring, or upskilling others.
- Adaptability to new environments and clients.
- Excellent teamwork skills, enabling collaboration across diverse roles within product teams.
- Engaging with client business stakeholders and domain experts to understand the product’s business context and identify critical business assumptions.
- Defining high-level user stories in collaboration with Product Designers and based on product prototypes.
- Facilitating discussions with software engineers to assess user stories' complexity and prioritize them on the product backlog.
- Monitoring team delivery KPIs and proposing initiatives for improvement & providing delivery estimates based on team velocity.
- Willingness to work in an agile product environment, rather than a waterfall one.
- Transferring knowledge to the client.
- Enabling client leadership to grow their own engineering practice.
- Contributing to homegrown Code Chrysalis consulting methodologies and frameworks.
- Experienced in lean and agile development
- Experience in creating and managing development backlogs
- Experience in conducting or supporting user research
- Have taught other PMs
- Have experience working as a designer or engineer
- Knowledgeable about software architecture
- Have knowledge of infrastructure
