Role Overview
EssilorLuxottica Japan is seeking a motivated Accounting Specialist to support our optical Washin business. This role plays a key part in standardizing accounting practices in alignment with EssilorLuxottica Group policies, while establishing, monitoring and executing daily accounting activities in close collaboration with the Japan Accounting team.

The successful candidate will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and will have the opportunity to contribute not only to day-to-day accounting operations, but also to process improvements, the standardization of accounting practices, and the further development of the function.

- 5+ years of accounting experience; preferrabled in an inventory based / international company
- Experience with monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
- SAP or similar ERP system experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Business level English profiency preferred; ability to work with overseas Shared Services Team and high fluency in Japanese language
- High level of integrity and compliance awareness
- Advanced Excel skills

Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and perform account reconciliations
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
Manage credit-related activities
Process invoices, prepare vouchers, and post journal entries
Perform data entry and uploads in SAP, including master data maintenance
Process employee expense reimbursements and maintain supporting documentation
Respond to accounting-related inquiries from EssilorLuxottica Group Headquarters in Italy
Support internal and external audits, as well as tax and other regulatory inquiries
Support cash management activities
Manage and maintain fixed asset records
Support inventory management and related accounting activities
