We are looking for a Sales Manager for the development of our solution called "Boutique DX" and to supervise our sales development and results. In this role, you will be responsible for strategies to acquire mid-market and enterprise retail customers. You will have the opportunity report directly to the CEO and engage closely with decision-makers in client's retail HQs, store operations leaders, and IT teams to identify their challenges and position our SaaS solution as the best fit. You will also collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to create a seamless sales experience and ensure long-term customer success.

Key Qualifications

🎯 MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be based in Tokyo Japan
• Japanese (native level) communication skills (Mandatory)
• Experience with IT sales, software solution selling, consultative sales, and value-based selling
• Outbound sales calling expertise
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the Japanese market
• Ability to work independently, detailed oriented and result oriented
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Solid organization and prioritization skills
• Strong team spirit and sense of ethics
• Curious and solution focused
• Self Disciplined, Ambitious, thick skin and competitive mindset

🎯 NICE TO HAVE

• Work experience in the retail sector
• Good understanding of the retail operations and decision-making processes.

Responsibility

✅ SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals with retail clients.
• Identify and target decision-makers in retail HQs (store operations, digital transformation, IT teams, finance, etc.).
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand our presence in the Japanese retail market.
• Generate leads through outreach, networking, events, and inbound marketing.

✅ RETAIL FOCUSED SOLUTION SELLING
• Understand the unique challenges faced by retailers (multi-store operations, workforce management, inventory, digital transformation, etc.).
• Conduct product demos, presentations, and consultative sales discussions to showcase how our SaaS solution solves these pain points.
• Customize proposals based on customer needs, ROI analysis, and data insights.

✅ ACCOUNT & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, store managers, and IT leaders in the retail industry.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term partnerships.
• Work closely with Customer Success to ensure seamless onboarding and retention.
