We're looking for a Python developer to join our engineering team and help build, maintain, and improve our software products. You'll write production code, collaborate on design decisions, and use modern AI coding tools to work efficiently. We expect you to fully understand and own the code you ship, whether you wrote it yourself or with AI help.
Requirements
• 1–4 years of professional Python experience (or equivalent project experience)
• Solid grasp of core Python: data structures, OOP, error handling, packaging, virtual environments
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and a critical eye for their output: you can spot bugs, security issues, and poor design in generated code
• Ability to walk through your code line by line and justify your decisions
• Working knowledge of common design patterns (e.g., Factory, Strategy, Observer, Dependency Injection, Repository) and principles such as SOLID, DRY, and separation of concerns, including when not to use them
• Experience with Git, pull requests, and code review
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as pytest
• Clear written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
• Design, build, test, and maintain Python applications and services
• Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to speed up development, then review, refine, and validate their output
• Explain your implementation choices clearly in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation
• Apply sound engineering principles and design patterns to write clean, maintainable code
• Write unit and integration tests, and help debug and resolve production issues
• Work with product, design, and other engineers to turn requirements into working features
